Welcome to VidChat, a free random one-to-one video-chat web app. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and VidChat (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using VidChat, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who May Use VidChat
VidChat is a friendly community for everyone. We expect all users to follow our Community Guidelines: there is zero tolerance for nudity, sexual content, harassment, or any other misuse of the service, and violations lead to an instant ban. We will terminate any account that violates these Terms.
2. Your Account
- You may sign in with Google or email through Firebase Authentication.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Do not create multiple accounts to evade a ban or restriction.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree that you will not:
- Show nudity or engage in sexual content or behavior on video.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
- Post or speak hate speech, or target anyone based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Record, screenshot, or distribute another user’s video, audio, or personal information without their clear consent.
- Send spam, scams, phishing links, or misleading content.
- Share another person’s personal information (doxxing).
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or abuse the service or other users’ devices.
- Use the service for any illegal purpose.
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
To keep VidChat safe, we use automated (AI-assisted) monitoring and review user reports. Violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines may result in:
- A warning,
- Temporary suspension, or
- A permanent ban, without prior notice for serious violations such as nudity or sexual content involving others.
We may remove accounts and content at our sole discretion to protect the community.
5. Service Provided “As Is”
VidChat is provided free of charge on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any particular chat partner will be available.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VidChat and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including interactions with other users. You use VidChat at your own risk. Your interactions with other users are solely between you and them.
7. Account Termination
You may stop using VidChat and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason we consider necessary to protect the service or its users.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of VidChat after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
